Maura Ó Cróinín
Maura is a founder member of Galway Early Music (1996) and was chair and programme director from 2000 to 2023. She retired from Galway Early Music in 2023, after enjoying 26 years of involvement. Born and raised in the U.S.A. (on both coasts), she has been living in Ireland since 1975 and in Galway since 1980. She has an MPhil in Medieval Studies from University College Dublin. She plays recorder and historical harps (bray and early Irish harp) and has now taken up fibre crafts as well, especially spinning wool.
As a board member, Maura is looking forward to bringing her early music festival production skills to support Resurgam Chamber Choir, and The Galway Early Music Festival under Resurgam.

James Harrold
James Harrold is a former Arts Officer for Galway City Council and Galway County County Council. Previously he was Artistic Director of Wexford Arts Centre and before that he worked in production, performance and communication with Galway Arts Centre, Galway Arts Festival and Macnas. He has served on several boards, including Údarás na hOllscoile, NUI Galway (University of Galway); Áras Éanna, the arts centre of the Aran Islands; artsandhealth.ie and Galway University Hospitals Arts Trust. He is a co-founder of the Galway festivals Tulca and Cúirt. He is currently working on a book of cultural history.
Maureen Rabbitt
Maureen has worked in various roles in service industries, community groups, performing arts and education. Most recently, she has worked with the Galway Music Residency and the Access Music Project Community Employment Scheme. Maureen enjoys creating order and reducing complexity! Her interests include singing, crafting and cycling. She is currently a member of St. Nicholas Collegiate Church Choir and the Society for Creative Anachronism.
Patrick MacLynn
Patrick, a native of Galway city, is a Solicitor and Partner in the firm D.M. O’Connor & Co Solicitors, 5 Mary Street, Galway. Aside from the Law, Patrick is a keen choral singer having been introduced at an early age singing in local choirs. Following this, he spent a number of years singing with the vocal ensemble Anúna and is a current member of the St Nicholas Schola Cantorum’s flagship choir Collegium under the Direction of Mark Duly.
Bridget Anne Walsh
Bridget-Anne is a qualified accountant with a Diploma in Risk and Compliance. She has been an active member of several of Mark Duley's choirs over the years. These choral experiences, along with her finance and compliance skillsets, make her a valued member of the Resurgam Board.
